`Tom Bates has been tempted back into the recording studio'
Twenty-five years after his one and only single, (`Whisky Sundown’ – Ace Records) former entertainer and well known Derbyshire writer/historian Tom Bates, has been tempted back into the Recording Studio!
Tom, who in previous incarnations has appeared on stage & screen in the guise of Neil Christian (1963-72), and Reb Lee (of `The Outlaws’ 1979-84) is the son of the late David H Lee, dubbed by the Americans as `the Man with the Ten-Foot Voice’ – and regarded by many, including himself, as Britain’s greatest-ever country singer.
`Tom Sings Elvis’ includes twelve tracks recorded at the Meadow Farm Studios in Derbyshire, and features Tom on vocals, guitar and harmonica.
