Welcome to the Poetry & Short Story Section of my web-site!

`most successful medium of writing for almost half a century!'

Poetry has been my best selling and most successful medium of writing for almost half a century, and I have been a published poet since 1984. On this site I hope to eventually include a fully comprehensive canon of my work, including short stories and prosaic pieces - and eventually to provide downloadable copies of two of the smaller books, `Phoenix Rising' and `Derbyshire Born & Bred' . I hope to add new work regularly to the site.

Guest Poets!

I also plan to add a section of work from a selected number of `Guest Poets' - original work which has impressed me by capturing the unique essence of the individual poet.

If YOU would like your poem considered for inclusion on this site you are invited to submit it to

Not all poems submitted will be selected! Those selected will remain on the site for a maximum of twelve weeks, and work submitted should be no longer than 400 words. Please include your name and address with each submission. Only original works will be considered!
